Mark thinks I am a little crazy sometime but isn't she just the cutest!?
My mom's best friend sent this beautiful blanket in the mail. It has her name and birthday embroidered on it. It is so soft and has a satin edge! Thanks, Dale and Doug!

Happy Birthday to ME (I guess!)

Today is my birthday. I am not overly excited about it. I never really, honestly saw this day coming. It hasn't really hit me until today. I really don't ever want people to ask me again how old I am and I definitely don't want to have to TELL them. I have always been a really big birthday person and always really excited about my own birthday. That is---until this year. I was born on December 10,1977, so you can figure out on your own how old I am without me ACTUALLY having to say it!

(honestly I tried to make these numbers the smallest I could AND this is how they turned out!)

(I think they are trying to tell me something!)

I am thankful to have been alive, healthy, and to be living the life that God has given me for the last uhhhhh, do I have to say it---thirty years and hopefully many, many more to come. But oh my goodness, this birthday does not go well with my post pregnancy hormones! I honestly wanted to cry just now as I was typing that certain number out! I know, I know, it is ALL that bad. I am young, healthy, happy, and the mother of three beautiful girls.

Anyway, Happy 30th Birthday to me because it is here and yes I have to deal with it!

Happy One Week Birthday to Sophie! (@ 8:47 p.m.)

This is what life is all about---the wonderful blessings that God has given us!
Sophie loving on Mommy!
The girls were getting ready for bed and decided they wanted to snuggle one last time with Sophie. She adores them so much!
First time in bouncy seat---not to crazy about it yet...
Mom-enough pictures already!
Madalyn loving baby Sophie.
Daddy loving Baby Sophie.
Loraly loving Baby Sophie.
Lots of sleeping this week (at least for Sophie).
More sleeping...
First bath!
Happy after bath...
Bright eyes!
Blessings, I have an awful lot of blessings to count! I love and adore my family. It is all I could ever hope, pray, and wish for. The girls are getting along much better and they absolutely love and adore the baby. Loraly constantly wants to kiss and tell Sophie how much she loves her. Madalyn wants to hold her and snuggle with her all the time.
I could not have asked for a better first week with my new daughter. She is wonderful, she loves to sleep; she hardly ever crys. She deals with the girls loving on her. She is very content. One of my favorite past times is to just stare into Sophie's eyes and watch her take life in! But my all time favorite thing about having a new baby is to sit and just have the baby lie asleep on my chest! I love her like nothing other.
It amazes me how you can have 2 or 3 or more children and you can love each of them so much but in different ways for each of their own sweet spirits. The love grows more and more with each child in different ways--my favorite way for my love to grow for my girls is by watching and listening to them play, love, and just by being sisters! I can't count the times I have heard Madalyn and Loraly tell each other and tell Sophie today that they love each other! AWESOME! I really feel that Sophie has completely made our family circle complete. She is such a great addition to our family and she brings out the best in each of us and the feelings we all have for each other.
I can't wait for each day to come so that I can get up and love on each of my girls.

Madalyn's after school schedule

(Madalyn waiting ever so patiently to get her turn to hold the baby!)

#1--walks in the garage door

#2--throws her backpack on the living room floor

#3--runs very quickly to her bathroom

#4--strips off all of her clothes

#5--washes her hands vigorously

#6--runs very quickly back into the living room

#7--puts TONS of Germ-X on her hands

#8--tells whomever is holding Sophie that it is her turn

#9--sits and holds Sophie for as long as everyone will let her

#10--gets mad when we tell her that she has to put Sophie down to do homework, eat supper, or whatever

What a special memory: my firstborn loving her baby sister so dearly!

First outing (to the doctor)--- an adventure!

We had quite an adventure today! We had to take Sophie in to the doctor today to get weighed and measured because the hospital we delivered at he is not a registered doctor there. So Mark, Loraly, Sophie, and me headed to the Doctor around 10:20 for a 10:30 appointment. Needless to say we did not make it in time! They let us move to the back and wait to get away from the germs. I thought it was because she was screaming! She isn't too fond of her car seat yet! SO we get back there and Mark is trying to calm her down while I fill out paperwork. I finished quickly and took her---she immediately quit crying and went right to sleep in my arms! What a wonderful feeling for me and frustrating for Mark! Poor fellow...
We waited for quite sometime and then as Mark rounded the corner trying to figure out what was taking so long, the nurse came and moved us to a personal room because she said "to get away from the germs." Well, after we got into the room we found out that there was a child in the office with the CHICKEN POX!!! OMG! There were 2 other newborns there but not as young as mine! Not cool!
We finally saw the doctor. Sophie lost a little more weight and is now down to 6 pound and 13 ounces. When we came home from the hospital, she had lost 4 ounces. Other than that she was a little jaundice, so right now she is in front of the window. He said she looks great. We go back in 2 weeks and guess what----I get to call and ask for a special person and they are going to let me in the backdoor and come right in for my appointment so we can dodge the germs! How wonderful is that of our great doctor!?
While we were there he also gave Loraly a flu shot! What a traumatic experience for her and her daddy! Mark has never in 6 1/2 years been with the girls and me when they have gotten their shots! I couldn't help much because I was holding the baby. Madalyn gets to come in tomorrow and get her shot.
SO needless to say our first outing was an adventure and there won't be Anymore for quite sometime except the doctors appointment in a couple of weeks.
