Sweet Madalyn...

So as you know EVERYONE in my household has been sick sometime or another in the last 3 weeks. So I was telling Madalyn goodnight a few nights ago and she told me that she prayed to God to please make Baby Sophie better because she didn't her to die and go to heaven...

Guess what--he answered her prayers! Sophie is feeling tons better as of today!

It's FINALLY gone!

I can't stand baby's umbilical cords! I think they are gross and it is very hard for me to clean it. I do what I have to...
Well, good news---Sophie's was hanging by a thread last night when we went to bed and every time we got up to feed and change diapers, it was still hanging. That is until 9 this morning when she FINALLY woke up. It was gone! Thank goodness!

Sophie's 2 weeks doctor check up

birth weight: 7 pounds 5 ounces
4 day old weight: 6 pounds 13 ounces
15 day old weight: 8 pounds even!

Can you believe she gained so much weight in only 2 weeks? WOW!

birth length: 19.5 inches
15 day old length: 20.75 inches

She also grew 1.25 inches in 2 weeks!

I was astonished at how much she grew in both length and weight! The doctor was joking about her double chin--I hadn't even noticed she had one! She slept better last night; instead of 2 hours at a time, it was 3-3.5 hours at a time! Mark and I felt very rested this morning compared to the last few...

By the way today was the first time I had to tell someone my age and literally cringed my teeth when she asked! I hated it!

Curious Madalyn...

Mark caught Madalyn attempting to breastfeed her Webkinz puppy!
ENOUGH SAID...

Week #2 with Baby Sophie

I love this picture!

Week #2 has been a little more chaotic than week #1. It started with Monday, Loraly was sick and my mom took her to the doctor---fluid on the ear, sore throat. So then by Wednesday, I was not feeling well, and should have went to the doctor then but I waited till Friday. So by Friday we had both gotten sick. I went to the doctor--diagnosed with a severe red/sore throat. She has a stuffy nose, cough, sneeze, and last night/ early this morning she developed a little blood in her sinuses and also woke up with her eyes matted shut! Poor baby---she isn't the slightest bit fussy from all this but you can tell from looking at her little face that she doesn't feel good. Makes me feel horrible and helpless just watching her hurt!

So there are not nearly as many pics from the week as last week.

First time to wear a bow!

If you know me at all, you know that the girls all have to wear bows!

First time in her big girl bed! I have been hiding Christmas presents in Sophie's room for quite some time. So Friday night I decided to wrap some of them and get them out of there, so I laid Sophie in her bed right behind me and she napped the entire time.
More loving...and bright eyes!
Meeting Madalyn's webkinz--Sophia!

These next 2 weeks are going to be very hard, difficult, frustrating, chaotic, whatever you want to call it!

First of all, Mark is currently painting all the doorways and doors in the house.

Second, he is going to be remodeling our bathroom.

Third, these 2 projects will take him all day and night for the next at least week because he is such a perfectionist that he takes his precious time and it takes FOREVER! A little story, it seems like every Christmas we have a big project going on because he is off from Christmas to New Years so it is always perfect time to get whatever done (painting, putting down tile, whatever). So Christmas 2 years ago, he decided to remodel our kitchen. Painting, tiling, etc. I was having a baby shower here at my house like on January 10 or something. He was not done yet! I was furious because he had been working since Christmas! So the night before the shower he stayed up ALL night long trying his hardest to finish. Basically right up until people starting showing up, he was finishing and I was finishing decorating! It was so crazy! Anyway pray that we get through these 2 weeks ok and that all the projects that are going will turn out great!

AND MOST OF ALL THAT SOPHIE GETS TO FEELING BETTER!!!

Fourth, on December 27 the guys are going to start replacing all the carpet and some of the tile in our house! We are so excited but what do you do with 3 small kids when you have all this work going on?

Christmas Pics

Aren't they just precious!

Sweet big sister...
Sophie slept through getting dressed, taking pictures, moving around, and changing back into regular clothes!
Sweet baby!
I had to show off the socks! They look like Mary Janes.
Better shot of the socks...
This is what poor Sophie has to deal with ALL the time! But I know she loves it because when those girls are talking, her head turns all over looking for them!
Love the lips!
Attempting a tree picture but Loraly had obviously had enough with the smiling thing!

I got this as an email and had to share...

One beautiful December evening Pedro and his girlfriend Rosita were sitting on the beach by the side of the ocean.
It was a romantic full moon, when Pedro said, "Hey, mamacita, let's do Weeweechu." Oh no, not now, let's look at the moon!" said Rosita.Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I do Weeweechu.
I love you and it's the perfect time," Pedro begged.
"But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon." replied Rosita. Please, corazoncito, just once, do Weeweechu with me."Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK, one time, we'll do Weeweechu."Pedro grabbed his guitar and they both sang....."
Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."
