Sophie's first gifts!

I am so excited to receive a few gifts for Sophie! It is starting to become so real. We ordered her bedding online yesterday so as soon as that comes I can start decorating finally!

My friend from church made me some personalized burp clothes with Sophie's name on them! Of course I was thrilled to get these! I absolutely love personalized things! My sister bought Sophie some sweet pajamas this weekend while she and my niece were out shopping. They are just precious! My mom and I were out running errands yesterday and I told her about this pink and black zebra outfit that I had been wanting at Old Navy for quite some time and now that we found out the baby was a girl I could finally buy it! So she took me over there and bought it for Sophie! It is so precious and will look great on her!

Saying goodbye to Paul...

Yesterday we went up to the funeral home and said our last goodbyes to Paul. Madalyn walked in bravely, walked around looking at the pictures, saw Paul one last time, and then watched the video for a few minutes and was ready to leave. When we got in the car Loraly asked if this was Paul's new home. Madalyn told her that this is just where his body is but the real Paul is in heaven with God and Jesus. She just amazes me!

Madalyn and I attended Paul's funeral service today. It was hard seeing his parents, grandparents, and brothers. It is so real yet so hard not to just expect Paul to come running up to Madalyn to play, color, or just talk.

The service was nice. Instead of having a preacher speak, both of his BRAVE parents spoke. They are awesome! (to say the least). They showed a slide show of pictures displaying Paul's life. There were quite a few of Madalyn and Paul. She had a really hard time with that. She starting burying her little head into my chest but still not taking her eyes off the screen. Paul's mom, Leigh had some really nice words to say to Madalyn. I tried not to listen because that is between Madalyn and her... Paul's grandpa came up and hugged Madalyn and told her that their little buddy was gone now. Talk about heart breaking! I think all the people around us in line couldn't handle hearing that one either!

I know she misses and will continue to miss her friend Paul.

Please pray for the Saxon family today; their sweet little boy Paul died early this morning from a 4 1/2 year battle with cancer.

Madalyn and Paul became the bestest of friends early on when they were only 2 and have been ever since. He was only 6 years old.

WE ARE TICKLED PINK!

The picture is kind of fuzzy but you can get the idea of her first photograph!

She was smiling in this picture! These new 3D ultrasounds that they do are awesome! She even let it run in 4D for a while and we could watch her in action; she was quite active and excited about getting her picture taken!
This picture shows that we are having another beautiful princess!

Tomorrow is the big "FIND OUT WHAT THE BABY IS DAY!"

A girl would be fun because how fun would 3 girls be?! I can so see our family with 3 beautiful little girls!

Then again on the other hand a boy would be fun also because we have NEVER been around little boys to even have the slightest idea of what we would do. So the diversity would be fun also.

Mark warned Madalyn and I tonight that if we are having a boy then we better watch out because they would "whoop" up on us girls! He obviously doesn't know Loraly very well! HA...

Well we should know what we are having around lunch tomorrow so I will let you know sometime then!

Loraly's Family Portrait

Loraly's favorite thing right now is to draw on her magna doodle. She always is drawing people and telling us who they are.

This certain picture includes from left to right Madalyn, Loraly, Me with the baby in my tummy, Mark, and then last but not least a monkey hanging from a tree! I am not sure where this has come from but the monkey has made it into all of our family portraits made by Loraly lately.

18 week Doctor's Appointment

I had my appointment this afternoon and everything looked and sounded good. The heartbeat was 148 and I only gained 3 pounds----a total of 5 so far!!!! I am overly excited about this because in my previous pregnancies I was gaining 5-6 pounds a month. The doctor commented on how skinny I still am! Thanks but should I be? He noticed from my blood work from last month that my thyroid was off a little bit but not so much to worry. He went ahead and took more blood today to test it again. I should know in a few days if I have hyperthyroidism due to pregnancy. He said obviously this could be the reason that I am not gaining a lot of weight, and he did seem a little more concerned this time than last.

2 WEEKS UNTIL MY ULTRASOUND!
Either way we don't care what we have, just a happy healthy baby!
