Cereal, sleeping, and the end to Spring Break

So I was buying groceries last night and decided to go ahead and get Sophie some cereal. I didn't plan on feeding it to her yet, just wanted to have it for when we were ready.
When we got home plans changed...Every night she has a fussy time or more like screaming time right before bed. She started that up and my thoughts on the cereal changed. I know alot of people think that babies need to be around 4 1/2-5 months of age before feeding cereal but I did some research on it before even buying it. I read that as long as they are 13 or more pounds, can sit up supported, and have doubled their birth weight then it is ok to start cereal.
Well, like I said we decided to give it a try and if she didn't like it, I was going to hold off until she was MORE ready. As soon as she had had about 2 bites, she pretty much knew what to do and LOVED IT! A gave her 1 teaspoon of rice cereal with 4 teaspoons of water. After eating that, she had a bath, I fed her, and she went right to sleep. and slept, and slept, etc. She went to bed at 11:00, woke up around 1 to eat, slept till 7, ate, and went back to sleep until 12:30 lunch time! WOW...
So spring break has come to an end...
Thursday we just hung out at the house, pretty much did nothing. Friday since it was a wonderfully 91 degrees, we were outside as long as we could stand it! Mark even got sunburned! Today, Saturday, Mark took the girls to the movie to see Dr. Seuss'-Horton Hears a Who.
.not much else to report.

Attempting Easter pictures...

In this LOVELY (NOT) family picture, Sophie was so ready for a nap. She passed out within 2 minutes of taking her dress off!
Like I said we will have to try again later!

Needless to say we will try this again later!

Sophie is her boucer/ play center! Her little legs aren't long enough so she doesn't like to stay in there more than about 5 minutes. But she sure is cute!

Days 2-3 of Spring Break

Tuesday the girls went to play with some friends all morning and then rest of the day we just hung out at home. We did all go for a family walk after supper but we only made it half way down the street. Loraly fell and scraped her leg from the knee to ankle. So needless to say we immediately turned around and now my daughter has 4 bandaids on her leg and a scrape on the other knee from a previous incident. She is all banged up!

Wednesday we decided to have a picnic at the park and let the girls play. They barely ate because the wind was cold. So I told them to go play to see if they could warm up. Of course then I had to take Sophie to the car to feed her. Mom played with the girls. We stayed a little while longer until the girls overheard a daddy say that his daughter have urinated while going down the slide. SO we left immediately. The girls decided to play at Ma's house for a while. SO Sophie and I came home, went to eat supper with Daddy and by the time we got back, the girls had decided they wanted to spend the nights at G-Daddy's and Ma's house.

So far that has been our spring break. Mark is off the rest of the week, so I will update later on what comes our way! Have a great afternoon and look forward to tomorrow because it is supposed to be BEAUTIFUL!

Day 1 of Spring Break

Mom, Sophie, Loraly, Madalyn, and I went up to Dallas last night, had supper at Chuck E Cheese, and spent the night with my parent's best friends-Dale and Doug. Us girls all got up this morning and headed over to American Girl to shop and have lunch!

It was wonderful!

We are now home, lots of American Girl toys, clothes, dolls, etc. and are all VERY tired.

Thank you for the wonderful experience and all the goodies, Ma and Ms. Dale!

Time Change!

First off--I have NEVER been a huge fan of time change. Not that I like to sleep in but it just seems ridiculous to me.

So last night I laid all three girls clothes out for church this morning, I woke up and the clock said 9:00, (ours is set ahead 20 minutes so it was really 8:40-or so I thought) so I was just about to get up and start getting dressed. I remembered it was 'time change' time and it was really 9:40!

Church starts at 10!

Considering the drive to church is 15 minutes, there is obviously no way possible the five of us could have gotten dressed, and been there on time in only 20 minutes!

Man getting 5 dressed and out the door on time is hard enough but with time change also!

it seems like an impossible task to accomplish!

(Mark only has to worry about getting himself dressed--i, on the other hand, have Sophie, Madalyn, Loraly, and not to mention MYSELF)

We will get this family of 5 thing figured out soon!

picture post

Sophie lying across Loraly's back.
Sophie looked too sweet to not get the camera out! She loves to have the blanket right next to her face when trying to go to sleep.
Loving her bath!

WELCOME SPRING BREAK TEXAS STYLE!

This picture was taken before school this Friday morning before Spring Break. It was almost 80 degrees about 2-3 days ago and it is supposed to be 70-75 by mid week next week. No wonder no one can stay well longer than about a week!
