Updo for Sophie's Nursery

Sophie's nursery was way too crowded. So I have gotten rid of a few things, added a few things...It is a work in progress and should be done later this week. She still sleeps in our room so it is what it is---her nursery WAS done when she was born but it was like a 'midlife crisis' or maybe just a turning 30 crisis. I started doing some serious cleaning out of my house and felt that the entire thing was way too crowded. So I just slowly but surely have been cleaning things out and getting rid of things that I feel are too crowded.

Here is a sneak peek of a couple paintings I made that match her crib sheets:

I got this terrific idea from some very old friends of my parents (and by old I mean they have been friends for a long time not that they are old!). They just had a new grandbaby and his mommy is very creative! They were showing me pictures of the paintings she had made for her guest bedroom and I fell in love with the idea!
Let me tell you---getting a baby's handprint is far beyond easy!

Mazzio's or Pizza Hut?

Tonight we decided we wanted a calzone ring from Mazzio's for dinner. We had a few errands to run before hand. So when we were about done with our errands Mark called in the calzone. The pizza person that answered the phone said they don't sell calzones anymore! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! We always get them--they are wonderful! So we decided to drive to Mazzio's and go in and see. Maybe the person that answered the phone was really busy and didn't understand Mark. So he made me go in because he was embarrassed. I walked in and looked at the menu on the wall. Clearly it stated that they did in fact sale calzone rings. So I went ahead and ordered one. The guy asked me if there was anything else. I reluctantly said "Well, my husband just called and who ever he spoke with said that you didn't sale calzones anymore." He said that he didn't know who Mark had spoke with because he has been answering the phones all night and yes they do still sale them.
Anyway I went and got back in the car and waited for our order. I told Mark what had happened and he shortly realized that he had called the local Pizza Hut instead of Mazzio's!!!! I was just a little upset at him that I made a complete fool out of myself because of him!
Oh well---we got our supper...

Sophie has a new toy!

She also has a lot of new fascinations:
1. her TONGUE--loves it! She sticks it out all the time!

2. her feet---kicks all the time and will push against anything that her feet touch.

3. talking!-the girl love to talk!

4. rice cereal-she gets so excited when she sees the spoon and starts kicking her feet with excitement!

5. her MOMMY-well, she has always been fascinated with me-but I just had to add it in because I love how much this girl loves to watch me, talk to me, love me, etc.
6. Madalyn--she loves Madalyn!
7. familiar people--she gets excited when she sees familiar people! Like today we met Mark at Sam's for some yummy pizza at lunch and when she heard his voice, she immediately started looking for him!
April 2 she will be 4 months old! WOW how time flies---and a WONDERFUL four months it has been!

Sophie's 1st Easter!

Sophie checking out what the big girls are doing.
Getting help hunting eggs from Kaitlyn.

One of our favorites things to do at Easter is to get confetti eggs!

This years eggs were quite hard to break! I tried the first one on my niece and you should have seen the look she gave me after trying to break it over her head! It wouldn't even break!!!

Just had to add in a picture of Sophie looking cute! AND CHUBBY!

The trail of eggs that leads the girls to their baskets!

Happy Easter!

Going through EACH AND EVERY EGG after the second big hunt of the day! We had one egg hunt in the front yard before lunch to calm them down from having to wait and then after they ate ALL their lunch, we had another hunt in the backyard!

Double the eggs---double the fun!

Wearing blue jeans for the first time!

Forget candy--I am the sweetest thing EVER!

Sophie got to meet her Great-Grandmother!

We headed to my Meme's house on Good Friday early in the morning. We spent the day with family that Sophie has never met, stayed over night, took Meme out to lunch, and then headed back home today to get ready for the Easter bunny to come tomorrow! It was a long trip to make in 2 days (4 hours each way) but it is always important to introduce a Great Grandmother to her new great grand baby!
We had a good time but are happy to be back home!
Man is it hard to travel with 3 kids---one being almost 4 months old!
HAPPY EARLY EASTER!
