My heart aches
Wow, I really need to blog more...
So last week I had my OB appointment. I am currently 12 weeks. I gained one pound since my last appointment---YAY! I was terribly sick with a sinus infection, head cold, and whatever else you want to add to that that can make you MISERABLE! So he gave me a Z-pac! 5 days later I feel pretty good! He said the baby's heart rate sounded really good considering how ill I was. I think the actual day of my appointment I had hit rock bottom...not good.
So all in all, baby is sounding good and we go back in a month.
On the way home from dance yesterday, we stopped to get gas. I left the girls in the car while I was pumping the gas and went I got back in Madalyn was all upset. I didn't even need to ask her what was wrong, she blurted it out to me! She was furious that Loraly didn't remember Paul! Loraly was only 3 when he died. But Madalyn was talking about how in kindergarten and first grade that she didn't have any friends, except Paul. And that she missed him and wished he was still here for her to play with and be friends.
Sophie has not been feeling well since the weekend. So on the way to dance yesterday, I decided to see if the doctor could fit her in. We got her an appointment, dropped Madalyn off at dance class, and headed to the Doctor. Loraly asked me if we were only going for Sophie. She asks this everytime we go to the doctor... So I told her yes, and she started asking questions. She asked if Madalyn ever had accidents in the bed. I told her yes every kid does sometime. See, Loraly is 5, but occasionally still has an accident. We keep a mattress pad under her and that saves me from washing sheets sometimes EVERYDAY. So anyway, she asked me if I would talk to the doctor about why she still has accidents and if he could help her... Wow, big words for a little girl! I didn't talk to him yesterday because I didn't want to embarrass her, but will do so next time I am there.
(I also forgot to post that the Friday before Valentine's Day, Sophie had 4 one year molars pop through!)
My heart breaks for all my girls yesterday... from a sick baby, a little girl missing her best friend, and another little girl wanting to be helped.

My daughter is 8
We had a fun birthday weekend just for Madalyn. Ate all the foods she likes, did all the things she likes, and went all the places she likes. We even pulled out old videos from when she was a baby. Mark likes to do this because he doesn't have any reminiscence from when he was a child much less a baby. We even found the video of Madalyn's sonogram when we found out she was a girl! That was precious! She was sucking her thumb the entire video!
Madalyn is such a special child. She makes life worth living, each day worth waking up, and praying to God each night for! I love her more than I could ever explain! I love to watch her read, to sing, to play with her sisters, to be a wonderful big sister to them, to be creative, to create, to read her bible (which she is on page 399!), and one of my favorites-to watch her dance!
We had a great time yesterday at American Girl celebrating her birthday with a few of her friends! It seems we have started some sort of tradition (on accident)--last year my parents took her to American Girl, then we had her birthday at Poppa Rollo's, we did the exact same this year, just not on purpose! She wanted to eat her birthday dinner today at Poppa Rollo's!
We are already planning another trip to American Girl during Spring Break to get the girls dolls hair fixed!
All in all we had a great weekend celebrating our daughter's last 8 years, and hoping for lots more to come!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADALYN!

Lots of baths...
At Madalyn's school they had class pictures taken Tuesday. So I let her wear one of her new outfits that I bought her as an early birthday present. Come to find out one of her best friends and her twin sister had the exact outfit on that day also! Their mom and I have been trying to coordinate a time to go shopping together for a while to get them matching outfits but we still haven't made that happen so this was pretty cute and totally unplanned!
They were all pretty giddy about it!
When I talk about having to give Sophie lots of baths during the day or at least one after every meal time---now you can see why:
I think she is telling me here to put the camera away and give her a bath!Look closely at the hair:
She was eating Beanie Weenies and bananas, and I am not sure if more got in her hair or in her tummy!Posted by Lindsay at 7:47 PM 1 comments

Loraly
I just want to remember all about Loraly right now...
She has just become so smart lately. It has "just clicked" with her. It started last week when they were studying the letter F in MDO. I guess one of the words that they discussed was family. She has been sounding it out and spelling it tons of times a day! Mostly she spells it "Femlyi" but hey she is getting the sounds, maybe they are not in the right order but she is trying. She won't start kindergarten until this coming fall. She spells Mommy, Daddy, Sophie, Madalyn, Loraly, Ma, G-Daddy, Gracie, and more! I am so excited for her to start kindergarten to see how much more she will grow! She can recognize almost every letter...most of their sounds...and is trying to put them together to spell different words!
She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to color, draw, write, send letters, create art projects, etc. I love to see the mess on the table after Madalyn and her have one of their creating times. They are really into making paper dolls! They have made everyone in the family and close friends into paper dolls, and now they are making an animal for every letter in the alphabet. So cute watching them!
I love that my children are so creative! I have fussed at them for not playing with all their new Christmas toys, but I would much rather them be creative and make their own toys!
