She is a big girl! (boo hoo)

I am a sad mommy. My baby girl is growing up. We bought her a big girl bed tonight. She went to bed just like she always has- a pro! I snuck in to take a quick picture and found her lying sideways. The bed is really awesome! It starts out this small size but you can extend it out into a medium size and then into a twin size bed! She was a little sad when she saw her crib in Reese's room with the new bedding in it...

YAY!!!

We are finally back online! I have so much to catch up on but it is dinner time... I will get to it maybe tomorrow after a few errands and a late 18 month old photo shoot. But YAY! Having no internet is no fun.
A few pictures to show a little of what we have been up to. And the baby has a final name--
Reese Prestyn Michalewicz
I have ordered a few personalized onesies for her, and her bedding came in today so I will post pics of that soon. We are probably getting Sophie a bed this weekend so that we can get Reese's room started. Like I said lots more to come (hopefully with time).

Changes

Honestly I was worried about what to do with my blog...would I have to change my title of Girly Girls to Girly Girls plus one baby boy, or would I have to change my background off the cutesy pink designs (that I love)...
Well, looks to be that we will be still known as the Girly Girls!
Yes, that is right, we are going to be welcoming another sweet baby girl in early September. God must think I am a really good mom to girls or that I am really good with the hair bows and tutus! My due date isn't until the middle of September, but he said since we are moving, and with this being my fourth that he would schedule an induction at 38 weeks! Yay-less time to have to be pregnant! So since I have only gained one pound the first 18 weeks of my pregnancy, I totally made up for it this month! I gained 7 pounds!!! I knew I had gained a lot because-how do I say it--I have BLOSSOMED!
So we are shooting for Stella Rose...(hopefully the girls don't decide to switch the name) to arrive around the beginning of September.

A tiny handprint to leave behind...

These are a couple of things I will miss seeing EVERYDAY at our current home. I have no idea which little girl's hand print this is, or when it happened (Madalyn or Loraly's) but I love seeing it everyday. In fact before we even thought about moving, I honestly couldn't stand seeing this and desperately wanted to get a new door. This is on the door as you are coming into the house from the garage. But when we found out we were for sure moving, seeing this hand print every time I walk in the house, it breaks my heart because it will probably be painted over by the new owners, or thought of as a dirty little hand print!
The other picture is something my husband has always done. When he was growing up his dad would take him and his siblings into the garage and measure them on the door frame. So when we had Madalyn, Mark decided to do the same. We are actually probably going to take this certain piece of wood with us so that we can carry this on.
I am sad because this is really my first home. As a child we moved around a lot. And honestly being in this home for 9 years, 4 (almost 5) months is the longest I have even lived in one place-so this is my home. As I write this it makes me sad to think I have to leave my home. I know we will make the new house our home but I am sad. We desperately need something bigger anyway considering what we currently live in is only 1436 square feet--with 3 almost 4 children and 2 adults living here!
We have brought all 3 of our girls home here from the hospital. We have spent many hours making this house our home. Many hours walking the hall and living room with sick or not sleepy babies. We have decorating for Christmas down to a T now. Certain spots where we all like to sit. Many memories from taking Madalyn swimming in our pool for the first time when she was only 4 months old! (I know now I think I was a little crazy.) to being a single couple living in what we thought was a huge home with absolutely no furniture!
There are certain reasons why we bought a home so quick into our marriage- Mark had always lived in one house his entire life before this one. We didn't want to waste too much money on rent. And number one was we wanted a baby---my grandpa (Papa) told me when we first got married that we could not have a baby until we bought a house because it wasn't fair to that little baby to be in a tiny apartment. So we bought our house in December 1999 and Madalyn was conceived in May 2000!
I have certain plants planted that my Papa gave me to plant here before he died. I have a peach tree, banana tree, Easter lilies (that blossom every year), and a beautiful rose of Sharon (it was only a twig when he gave it to me and now it is taller than the house and has to be trimmed back every year). I also have a rose bush that Mark gave me for Valentine's Day one year. I hate to leave all of this...
I know we will make LOTS of new memories at the new house...but remembering these is bittersweet.

Dr. Appt and Bad news

I had my 16 week OB appointment today. It was supposed to be last Friday but had to be cancelled due to a sickly baby. So I got there this afternoon even with me starting to feel yucky. I didn't gain any weight this last month so total so far is still only one pound. Doctor wasn't worried about this at all in fact he told me GOOD JOB! The baby's heart beat sounded great! And here comes the bad news: WE SCHEDULED MY ULTRASOUND! HE WON'T DO IT UNTIL MAY 5! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I asked him if there was any way to move it up some. He said at the most a week. I said never mind...we will stick with May 5, that gives Mark enough time to request that day off work. So May 5th it is! BOY OR GIRL?!
