Convincing?

So Loraly got this new movie yesterday while we were out getting groceries.
She loves it!
She watched it first thing this morning. So I told her that she needed to go play. She just came to me after playing for a few hours, and these were her words--"Mommy, if you let me watch my Mickey movie, I will be your friend..." Of course all this was said in a very persuasive tone of voice. So of course I started laughing and told her how cute she was.
So I repeated her every word--"Loraly, if you let me watch the Mickey movie, I will be your friend..." She then started laughing, hugged me, and said "Oh Mommy, you are soooo cute!"
Of course now she is watching her movie!
I guess I am a push over for cuteness!

Western Day

TODAY IS MY PARENTS 33RD WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THEM!

Madalyn had western day at school today. So of course we had to get new cowgirl boots. She had some really cute pink ones from a couple years ago but they are too little. She actually picked out white ones with pink lacing. So she wore those, her white horse shirt, jean skirt, and a pink cowgirl hat.

****Notice how I write 'COWGIRL', if and when I say cowboy both girls correct me.****

So when Madalyn came home from school today with her stick horse, Loraly decided that she needed to take a picture with it also. She hasn't been feeling so good the last 2 1/2 days. She came home from Mother's Day Out Tuesday, went to bed at 5:45 pm and slept until 7:15 am Wednesday morning!

THE DRESS and attempting to be creative!

So I am pretty excited because I FINALLY found Sophie a "coming home" dress.

I told a girlfriend of mine that I didn't want white or pink because that is what the other 2 girls had and I wanted something different for each girl. So needless to say after a LOT of searching I found a dress.

Guess what---it is PINK!
But I do have to say that it has green on it also.

This picture shows the beautiful detail this company puts into their clothing. I have bought a few things from them in the past and can't resist going back for special occasions.

The reason we choose it was because it matches her room. Ok---now you are thinking that I am really crazy, right?! What does it matter if it matches her room----well this is why---

These are very special to me.

After my girls get home from the hospital, I take their birth announcement (that I have made and sent out), their first portrait (hospital ones-usually), and their coming home outfit and I frame them. What is really cool about them is the background that I put everything on top of is actually left over wrapping paper from my baby shower. The even COOLER thing is that my mom's best friend, Dale, is the one that has given me the present with the wrapping paper on it that I keep to use. She is so awesome and knew that I did this with Madalyn's, so when I had Loraly she went back to the same store, found the same wrapping paper, and used it because she knew what I would do with it!

I will treasure these forever!

The things that I was trying to be creative with today was the curtains and lamp in the baby's room. I could not find curtains and a lampshade to match the bedding (or at least that I liked!). So I took the old crib bedding and made my own.

See what you think. They may not look all that great so please don't judge! I tried...

Another Doctor's appointment

I had my first 'every 2 week' appointment today. I am 32 weeks pregnant. Can you believe I only have 8 weeks left? Well, probably more like 9 weeks because I am ALWAYS late and still have to be induced! So I only gained 2 pounds, that is 1 pound a week. A lot better that 8 pounds in 4 weeks or 2 pounds a week like last month. So I have been having more contractions. But everything seems to be just fine.

Things I am starting to feel:

tired

busy

can't get everything done that 'needs' to be

excited

curious

a little nervous

My most favorite thing to think about right now is seeing my girls with their new baby sister.
I can't wait to have all my girls here together!

My hobby and The nursery preview

Since having children, I have found my hobby, obsession: birth announcements, birthday invitations, etc. I love coming up with ideas, figuring out wording, and seeing the final product. If you know me, then you know that I LOVE Mickey Mouse. Madalyn never cared much for the character, but Loraly has created an obsession with Minnie Mouse! I am so excited! I finally get to do a Minnie themed birthday party! So far all I have obsessed about are the invitations. So here they are:

Here we are painting the baby's room:

We let the girls kind of "sponge paint" and then we painted over it!
Here is a finished portion of the room:
We still haven't got the room set up otherwise I would post pictures of that also. Hopefully by the end of the weekend we will have it done.

When one gets something the other wants it also...

Before...

After...

When we picked up Madalyn from school the other day and she saw Loraly's hair, she loved it! So ever since then she has been asking if she can have hers done also. She even asked me if I would do it before school this morning! So tonight we decided to do it.
