Girls Movie Day Out

So this afternoon I took the girls to see the movie "Enchanted". Mark didn't care to see the movie because it is a "girly" movie he said. The movie was VERY cute and a definite must buy when it comes out. I totally recommend it to anyone and everyone. There were even some little boys there watching it.
I braved the crowd yesterday on 'Black Friday' to do a little Christmas shopping. My sister and I usually go but she was going out of town for the weekend, so I braved it alone. I saw a few friends out and they were astonished to see me exactly one week before my due date. I got a few good deals, came home, wrapped some presents, took a nap, and then we went out to an early dinner. Nice day, but I was exhausted last night.
I hope everyone had a terrific Turkey Day and is now in the Christmas spirit! I know my girls are! Loraly is telling everyone "Happy Holidays" and constantly singing "Jingle Bells".
Next on my list of things to do is HAVE A BABY----hopefully soon.
Wish me luck and I will of course keep you posted!

Madalyn has A LOT to be Thankful for!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Madalyn has had her first loose tooth for a good while now---like 2 months! The last few days we have noticed that it is very loose and the roots were coming out of the gums. I know not pretty! We also noticed the tooth beside it was also loose. So we have been trying for 3 days now to either let her pull it, or one of us. We have all three tried TONS of times to get this sucker out! It is one stubborn tooth. Not to say that Madalyn wasn't being stubborn also! (to say the least)! I had told her that she had to have the tooth out before the baby came, so that I could be here with her and to see what the tooth fairy brings her. So on today, THANKSGIVING DAY, we were over at my mom's house and she had ate a piece of pie and was washing her face at the sink. She was there for quite some time and I was trying to get her to hurry so that her sister could wash her face also. Madalyn turned, walked towards me with her hands over her mouth and said "I think I lost my tooth, momma..." with a real soft tone of voice. She took her hands down and the tooth was in her hand! We were so excited and both very happy to finally have this experience behind us.
Now we are looking forward to the tooth fairy visiting our house tonight!

Thoughts for my children...

This song expresses my thoughts, dreams, wishes, and hopes for my girls...

When I hear it sung by one of Madalyn and my favorite groups-Rascal Flatts-it brings tears to my eyes every time.

A song that says it all------------------

My Wish by Rascal Flatts

I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow

And each road leads you where you want to go

And if you’re faced with the choice and you have to choose

I hope you choose the one that means the most to you

And if one door opens to another door closed

I hope you keep on walkin’ ‘til you find the window

If it’s cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile

But more than anything, more than anything

Chorus

My wish for you

Is that this life becomes all that you want it to

Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small

You never need to carry more than you can hold

And while you’re out there gettin’ where you’re gettin’ to

I hope you know somebody loves you

And wants the same things too

Yeah, this is my wish

I hope you never look back but you never forget

All the ones who love you And the place you left

I hope you always forgive and you never regret

And you help somebody every chance you get

Oh, you find God’s grace in every mistake

And always give more than you take

But more than anything, yeah more than anything

This is my wish I hope you know somebody loves you

May all your dreams stay big

HAPPY (early) THANKSGIVING!

10 things that I am thankful for:

1. life--it is oh so precious!

2. my children! I have always dreamed of becoming a mother to a daughter and God has been so generous and gracious to have blessed me with 3 of them!

3. my husband! He is so wonderful to me. I could not have ever asked for a better husband. We are a perfect pair.

4. our little house! growing up we moved a lot, so I have never known what it was like to have a 'home'. We have considered moving lots of times, but the thought of leaving my little 'home' is heartbreaking!

5. my parents---they are great grandparents to my children, and if any of us ever need them, they are here at the drop of a hat.

6. our health---after watching a precious young child die, you begin to really rethink what good health means.

7. my children's doctor---if it wasn't for him and others like him, where would we be?

8. friends---although some of my best friends, I don't get to see hardly at all, if ever, they are still the bestest of friends.

9. my girl's teachers! Gosh they amaze me-Madalyn and Loraly have both grown to be such smart girls--and my girls both absolutely love all their teachers---THANK YOU TO ALL THE WONDERFUL TEACHERS IN THE WORLD. I had always dreamed of becoming a teacher but being a mother was my number one dream!

10. Last but DEFINITELY not least, I am thankful to God for the love he has put in my life, taught me, shown me, and made me feel!

Loraly is 4!

I can not believe it has been 4 years since I had Loraly! She had her official birthday Saturday. Mark took her and got her donuts, we played around the house, my parents took her out for lunch and to pick out a present, more playing at home, then we had cake----well Loraly was laying on the floor with her head up blowing out the candles and flop!!! She fell face first into the cake and had icing all over her forehead! It was hilarious! Of course there was a little wax on her head also that I had to use my fingernail to scrape off during her bath that night.

The day was kind of hard and we could not get out as a family and do anything because Madalyn started feeling pretty lousy Friday night, and then woke up with 102.5 Saturday morning and it stayed there all day no matter how much Tylenol and Motrin we gave her. Sunday she woke up feeling pretty good just a little run down, so we didn't do much there either.

So my sweet little baby, Loraly, is now 4. I just can't believe it! She is growing up so fast. This morning she was lying on my tummy watching cartoons, and Sophie kicked. Loraly looked up at me with her pirate face. She jumped up and laid across the couch from me.

The last fours years with 2 children have been wonderful! I can't imagine life without either one of them. Loraly is such a blessing to all of us. She keeps us on our toes, and laughing pretty much all the time.

Happy 4th Birthday, Loraly!

I love not getting surprised and I especially love knowing exactly when these big events will take place. My husband can schedule to take off work without any problems, bag will be packed (because it isn't right now), car seat will be in the car (because it isn't right now), and the girls will have their bags packed (because they aren't right now) and plans made to stay at grandma's.

It is great!
