On the "Eve" of Reese

Let start here.

It was interesting, light heartening, and exciting for me to go back and read this. It truly seems like just yesterday that I wrote that! I am so ready for this last pregnancy to be over, but on the other hand, I want to hold onto it forever.

It's really fun to look back: Mark and I got married on July 31, 1999. We bought our first home on December 28, 1999, the one we would bring our first 3 girls home to, the one we would become a family in, the one we would leave behind and miss dearly on May 1, 2009. We welcomed Madalyn March 1, 2001; Loraly on November 17, 2003; and Sophie on December 2, 2007. Wow, when you write it like that it seems like BOOM, BOOM, BOOM! But our life together has been long, wonderful, endearing, and full of love and laughter! Sure we have had LOTS of rough times, but life is grand!

God IS good, and he does have a plan!

Tomorrow we will welcome our last, sweet baby girl into our family! The things I can't wait for are to see her, to hold her, I am dying to see which sister she either looks like or doesn't, I want to see (and pray) how Sophie is with her, and to FINALLY have our family all together and complete as a whole (funny because I wrote about this same thing awaiting Sophie's arrival)!

Madalyn and Loraly have already been discussing who gets to hold her first. So Mark made it into a game of who gets the most good behavior marks the rest of the week and the winner gets to hold Reese first. I am glad that they are so excited about seeing and holding their new sister because they were only viewers with Sophie. I had to make them hold her, and that was the end of that.

So on the eve of our sweet baby Reese arriving, I have been cleaning a little, grocery shopping, playing with Sophie, ironing, and just enjoying my last day EVER being pregnant. For the last few days (and a couple weeks) I have been hoping this baby would make her appearance but I am thankful for everyday that I get to spend holding and protecting her inside of me. I thank God for that.

Please pray that God will watch over her arrival tomorrow and that he will protect both her and I during it!

(I will post details and pictures as soon as we get back home!)

News update

So Sophie has been having a little tummy ache. I knew she was either getting sick, teeth, or something. I noticed last night while brushing her teeth that she has all four of her eye teeth popping through! Poor girl!

(I keep wanting to say Stella...) I went to the doctor yesterday to hear Reese's heartbeat. Let me tell you she will never be aloud to have sugar of any sort! I took my glucose test and from the very first sip she was bouncing off the walls of her 'womb'. I gained 3 pounds this month (16 total). Everything looks great doc said. I now start going every 2 weeks---really, already! We will set a date in 2 weeks for my induction. Mark and I are hoping for September 9, 2009 (9-09-09). Silly I know, but fun! That would put her at exactly 39 weeks gestation. Doctor said he would go as early as 38 weeks...so 9-9-09 should be fine unless it is booked (doubtful).

So that is what is going on in baby world around here.

Madalyn is about to attend an art camp with her Spring Valley art teacher. She invited her to be in it! Madalyn and Loraly are both completely awesome drawers (I know I am their mom, but everyone tells me that they should really keep drawing because they are that good and to not loose that talent).

We are looking for a church here in Midlothian. We found one we are going to try. Most of the churches here are pretty old and little. Not that that matters but we are so used to big churches...

We are having a 4th of July, New house party this weekend, so hopefully I will get some good pics to post.

(30 more days until Mark and my 10th anniversary!!!- totally excited about being married to him for 10 years and saying it sounds totally weird)

She is a big girl! (boo hoo)

I am a sad mommy. My baby girl is growing up. We bought her a big girl bed tonight. She went to bed just like she always has- a pro! I snuck in to take a quick picture and found her lying sideways. The bed is really awesome! It starts out this small size but you can extend it out into a medium size and then into a twin size bed! She was a little sad when she saw her crib in Reese's room with the new bedding in it...
